Rune Of The Week 18th to 25th December 2020

Coming from my healing set, of Opalite, this rune is the rune of sunlight. Seeming to indicate the upcoming Summer Solstice and Grand Conjunction of Aquarius coming through on the 21st, this is a time of healing light and breakthroughs.
I use these Opalite healing runes in readings for indicating what needs to be healed in a situation for things to move forward, or for healing magick. They have the companion of an amethyst point, which keeps them charged and clean. In healing I use the blue energy ray, hence the colour of the Opalite runes. It is the last set I got to complete my nine sets of runes, this year. The crystal with them came to me by coincidence in an op shop, a lucky find at about the same time as they arrived. I originally ordered amethyst but got them. And it was to be.
Sowulo, the rune of sunlight, breakthroughs and victories came out for me here. This fortunate rune fits with the Summer Solstice here in the Southern Hemisphere on the 21st December 2020 and coincides with the grand conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, the closest they have been since the beginning of the renaissance, at the first degree of Aquarius. This has the chance to be a fresh start for all of us as this energy comes in to start to heal the planet coming out of the Karmic time of COVID in 2020.
To use this time for best effect, look at how you can meditate on the Summer Solstice, and re-evaluate your path forward coming into 2021, perhaps to start a new year’s resolution. There will be more trouble ahead, but it is not going to be as bad as this year. Now is the time to sow the seeds of rebuilding with this healing and balancing energy. Set some intentions this week, empowered by the Summer Solstice here in the Southern Hemisphere.
