Welcome to the interpretation of your Combine/Composite chart. In this chart your relationship to a certain person will be described. If you are interested, but aren’t yet familiar with this method of partnership analysis, a brief introduction follows.In contrast to the older method of Synastry, the principle of Composite and Combine is to take two individual horoscopes to create a basis for a new single interpretation. Calculating a Composite this is done by finding the midpoints between the same planets in the birth charts of two people, such as the midpoint between his and her Sun. The ascendants are calculated the same way. In theory, the two points should always lie opposite each other, because the calculations are based on a circle, the Zodiac. All the relevant points are determined by a visual estimation of the shorter distance “between” the planets. At this point the energies are stronger and therefore have a more intense expression.
Calculating a Combine is somewhat different. Here we take the dates of birth and the geographical positions of the places of birth into account and find the geographical middle as well as the exact birthday (date and time) in the middle and use these to construct the Combine chart.
These method of calculating the energies between people has become popular with Astrologers. The principle behind it takes into account that individuals in interaction with another previously unknown person often display behavior which they haven’t yet become aware of in themselves or which hasn’t come up in other relationships.
Every relationship develops its own dynamics and should therefore have its own horoscope. Keep this in mind whenever you notice deviations from your birth horoscope. If the new partnership leads to new behavior and personality traits, it should be seen as a contribution to your character development. In our opinion, this is also the case when people are encouraged to admit weaknesses.
Basically the following is more an interpretation of the romantic relationship between you and another person, than a business relationship. Thereby the principle of the Composite/Combine can be transferred to every kind of human contact, no matter how different they may be. If you have been doing Astrology for a longer period of time, your experience will be helpful because basically a Composite/Combine is not interpreted any differently than a natal chart. As was already stated, the challenge is to come up with original thoughts and research, for this is still the most productive way of conducting Astrology.
