WeÂ have beenÂ conducting meditation workshops for quite some time now. Everything has it's basis from a core. In eachand every person, our core is our mind. When our mind is not well, or out of synch we need to get back to who we really are and the one way to become re-centered and re-aligned is to meditate. Even if it is for five minutes, or less. Some peopleÂ only need to breathe in and breathe out to allow the "breath" to centre, calm and re-align them in a moment of stress. They become centered again in two breaths. Others are able to cope by using simple visualisation exercises.Â . Believe it or not, it is that simple.

Other methods which are employed of course involve bringing your sense of creative visualisations to the fore as with positive affirmations along the way. Being able to focus on your breath, whilst also focusing on your visualisations will bring you inner peace, tranquility as well as empowerment.

However, knowing a technique which will work for us is the difficult part, for not every technique and or method will work for each of us in the very same way. What is Seichim:

Seichim is best described as a healing energy that works through the various auras of the body. Every one of us has auric fields as a part of our energy which we can use, heal, as well as allow to be healed. Every so often we come into contact with negative energies which we may pick up unwillingly and unwittingly from other sources such as people, animals, residue left in buildings, even our own feelings can manifest into negative lower energies which stay with us. When we use Seichim, we are able to cleanse, heal and protect ourselves against these negative energies which affect us. Seichim Level One

Reiki Level Two (Okuden)

This session is important as it is the next step toward your commitmentÂ to Reiki . Now you will be meditating and practicing some of the Reiki I methods of selfÂ healing. Then your initiation and attunement to Reiki II will take you through the steps of Absent Healing which comes into this session as part of Reiki II training. It matters which tool you use for your quest to seek the answers to your questions. Whether it is Tarot, Runes, I-Ching, Crystal Ball, Pendulum or even a Psychic Reading, you are the seeker and are entitled to a good reading.

For myself, I have been divining for answers for other people as well as myself for many years, indeed for many life-times.

When I first began "awakening" in this life-time, it was my natural ability to do readings that came to the fore very early. I went along the shelves of Tarot Cards and made my choice - I chose the Arthurian Tarot! I still have them. In these cards is we can find the path to your Destiny with the Hallow Grail, or any resolutions which may be needing with the Round Table. If you are seeking the truth then The Lady of the Lake will appear holding the Sword of Excalibur. Then of course there is our favourite Merlin and The Cauldron each showing different signs of conjuring the future. One must clear away the "steam" that arises and see what is truly there and not what one percieves to be there. With all of the cards, there are many messages which lay within.

However there are other cards which we use for various purposes. These include the very beautifully illustrated "Golden Dragon Tarot Cards" which are used for more traditional readings.

This deck has a more oriental feel about it away from the Celtic Arthurian and is therefore much more mystical. Its energies truly resonate so that we can see when danger is imminent with the "Destruction of the Temple" or when the energies are more in alignment with the "Balance" Card. Then this deck is also useful for money problems and or fruition, wealth and abundance.
It is not a dark a dark deck as some other oriental decks, yet a light and colourful one flowing in the energies of life. Showing the Golden Dragon which represents life, new life or renewed life as the Dragon is so important in Chinese Culture, so too can it be seen as a "good luck Charm". This deck is non confrontational and easy to read.

The Now out of print Gypsy Romani by Ray Buckland which are found to be truly insightful for most relationships, especially of family and friends. They are true to the genre of Gypsy cards and are especially useful for finding conflict and resolutions. Ray Buckland himself grew up in the atmosphere of the Gypsy People and created this deck from his own experience. One of our favourite cards in this deck is the High Priestess whom Ray Buckland refers to as The Matriach of the Tribe. She is important in that she "over-sees" even the Tribal Elders and is seemingly "The Woman behind the Men, behind The Family". In her, is much strength and fortitude, not to mention invisible power. We can all relate to each of the cards in this deck find it to be inspirational in its intuition.

One of my favourite decks for health and personal relationships is the Shaman Wisdom Cards which are more of an Oracle card than Tarot. These are particularly useful for increased insight a person's current situation. They are well balanced as they show animals, plants and crystals. Many of the cards have either femine or masculine qualities about them giving them even deeper insight. There are also pots and baskets in this deck showing how with each moon, the Native Americans would be able to store away their needs for the coming seasons. The very last card in this deck is The Self, which is really what the deck is all about anyway. So it is most useful for finding One-Self!

Tarot One

No Requirement is necessary for in this workshop I will show you the easiest and most simplest method of understanding, reading, and seeing the messages which lay within your grasp. This is a beginner to intermediate workshop for those with little if any experience, or to merely brush up on your talents.

Tarot Two

This workshop is an intermediate Tarot Reading Workshop and the requirement is that you know how to read your cards proficiently. you are taken beyond the realms of merely using a seven card spread to using many other spreads as well as creating your own personal and unique spreads. The simplicity of understanding the flow of energy and the direction of the cards is as simple as it is to create your very own intuitive spreads, even on the fly. This workshop may be taken by distant learning. Your own deck of Tarot cards is required, please choose a traditional deck.

Tarot Three

This is where you learn a more and exciting little known fact of the Tarot Cards. Not all Tarot decks are the same. Obviously they all look different, however you see that all the "traditional" decks still have 78 cards. That means four suits from King to Ace and 22 Major Arcana. Ahh, now the trick is to be able to jump from one deck to another, using the same spread and get the same message from two different readings with the same question being asked! This workshop may be taken by distant learning and is not intended for the faint hearted. A little daring is required with excited curiosity and creativity to "see" what is within the lines of the cards. You will be required to use more than one deck of cards for this workshop.

Angel / Oracle Card Reading.

If you prefer the gentleness of the oracle or the Angel deck, then this is the workshop for you. How to become intuitive and get the best guidance from your reading is all here, covered in this workshop. So what is this Reiki, really?

Well, "Rei" comes from The Universal Spiritand "ki" comes from Life Force Energy. When we bring these to meaningstogether we have a very powerful combination. The Life force energywhich is Universal. It comes from the Universe, it is within each andevery one of us. In spite of the fact that it had been re-founded byMikao Usui, it is really as old as creation itself.

How is Reiki Used?

Reiki energy is given from the ReikiTherapist or Practitioner to the patient. It is a non invasive form ofenergy by which the patient does not need to be undressed. It islikened to having a massage without touching.

An example of showing you what Reiki energyfeels like. Try rubbing your hands together until you will feelfriction between them. Before very long you will feel the heat in bothhands. Now move your hands apart, say five centimetres apart. Thenbring your hands together so that they are touching. Then move themapart.

Continue doing this until you feel theenergy which may not be unlike a bubble of air trapped between yourhands. You should be able to feel the energy drawing your handstogether almost like magnets.

Imagine this kind of energy 'rubbed' or'smoothed' around your entire body. Even with your clothes on, you willfeel the effects of this positive energy. When a practitioner usesReiki he / she will move along the patient's body until some differencein body energy is felt. This is a clear indication of where the Reikienergy is needed. Then the practitioner will put his/ her hands closerto the patient's body. Perhaps directly onto the patient's body. Thusinfusing the patient with the practitioner's Reiki energy.

Reiki is not limited to the healing energiesgiven to people. It is also given to animals, plants, as well as beingused for spiritual and emotional healing. The Reiki energy is longlasting and has many benefits for the patient. It gets into thephysical body and faciliates the ridding of toxins throughout thephysical body. It is so powerful that an hour treatment by anexperienced therapist may give up to a week's relief for the patient.Of course this all depends upon the physical, emotional and orspiritual state of being for the patient. For some, daily treatmentsmay be recommended, for others, once a week may be all that isrequired.

Can anyone learn Reiki?

Yes, anyone can learn Reiki. It is as easyas becoming attuned or as I call it, becoming "Tuned to Reiki". I haveheard of children as young as four years old becoming attuned to Level1 of Reiki. It is an open healing modality that knows no boundaries.Its healing energies can travel the universe as deep, or wide, or longthat it is. It is great for self healing as well as the healing ofothers. It has even been used by some creative souls for keeping foodfresher, growing vegetables and fruit, cleansing houses and workplacesand much, much more.

It does require one to be able to meditateas this also facilitates the energy flow throughout the body. By beingable to focus and be in control of one's own energies, thus one becomesa better therapist.

What are these symbols about?

These are the very important symbols whichthe therapist will use in order to facilitate a healing session. Iliken them to my "tools of trade" and use them much like a phsyicianmay use his stethoscope, or other tools to faciliate a diagnosis ortreatment on the patient. They are not magical, although there hascertainly been some magical use of them. They are powerful symbols andeach one has its own use.

These are not taught in the first level ofReiki, yet are saved for the second and third levels, thereby givingthe practitioner time to practise his/her chosen modality of Reiki at a"grass-roots" level before being bestowed with the first symbols. Theyare usually signed over, or transferred telepathically to a patient tofacilitate in the healing.

What are Attunements?

These are a system of imparting variousReiki symbols to the Crown, Throat and Heart Chakras in a certain orderfrom one Reiki Master to the Reiki Student. Symbols are also impartedto the hands. These are usually given to the student while he / she issitting in a medative state with hands in prayer position (also knownas the Gassho Meditation). Many Reiki students have experiences fromflashes of colour, symbols, spirits or other visions whilst beingattuned. It is a way of "tuning" a person in to the Reiki Energies.

How many levels are there?

Depending upon which lineage the Master isfrom, there will be as few as three levels, or as many as seven. In theUsui Shiki Ryoho Reiki there are three levels. The first level isknown as the Shoden Level and is predominately learning about selfhealing practices and meditations as well as the five precepts.

The second level is known as Okuden Leveland is primarily about Absent / Distant Healing as well as receivingthree symbols and learning how and when to use them. These will becomeimportant tools of trade to anyone who is interested in their spiritualgrowth into the Reiki Realm.

The third or Master Level is known asShinpiden and is the final level in this lineage. It is primarily aboutthe Master symbols being given and learning how to work with them aswell as learning how to pass on the attunements and to teach othersReiki.

What is Lineage?

Lineage is really quite simple. It beganwith Mikao Usui who is acknowledged today to be the founder of Reiki.He taught Chujuro Hayashi all levels of Reiki including Master leveland he in turn taught Hawayo Takata. This means that this lady is thirdin line. To put it quite simply, it is the lineage of the person havingbeen attuned to Reiki to Master level who goes forward to attuneanother to Master level and so on and so forth. Well you have come to the right place to find out more about us here atSpirit Connections . I have certainly come along way in the past fewyears, not to mention, having been awakened with a loud "bang".

Sinceearly childhood years I have had a gift of communicating with my spiritfriends as I call them. I remember having invisible friends to talk toand always had a somewhat decent conversation going on in my head thatI was never quite sure whether it was me or them!? Then one eveningsomething happened to change my life. This was indeed just one of themany incidents which affected my life irretrevably.

Mymother and I were staying at a beautiful old Guest House at Katoombaand whilst my mother was mixing with all the other parents who werestaying there, I and a group of other teenagers were down in thebasement holding a seance. Having a wonderful time filled with thehistorical atmosphere, the darkness, the candle light and theanticipation of being scared silly, it was a huge surprise to hear aname that few people called me in my life-time. It was a message frommy still living Uncle who was in England at the time. The message I nowunderstand was from one of my Spiritual Friends who called oneself -Zen, and I was given this message to relay to my mother that my auntwas having a baby girl. The name of this baby girl was Tammy and thatmy aunt was having a bad time with the birth. All this happened a longtime ago back in the school holidays and it happens to be very close tothe time of my cousin's birthday. As my Uncle had not been heard fromfor many months we immediately rushed home to tell my grand mother andwithin another two months had the substatiation that we wanted. I couldindeed now say I finally had a cousin!

Beingaware that I could "pick-up on vibes" was something that I became awareof more and more as I grew older. There were times when I "knew" thingswould happen, or had happened and that I was sensitive enough to feeland sense the various energies of ghostly entities that were around. Ihave since been able to develop my gift into a talent to where I amtoday.

Ihave been most fortunate that my "Medium" gift is a natural one andeven my gift of "reading" has developed most naturally from the veryfirst day I picked up the Arthurian Tarot Cards to this day. It is mybelief that it came from my Great Grandmother who used to read theplaying cards, when I "saw" a vision of her from her gravesite alongwith seven tarot cards. When I had interpreted each of these tarotcards, I knew then that I was able to read the cards.

Itis by no accident that each event in our lives unfolds to open up andshow us the talents we each have. For some of us, we "shoo" them awayhoping that we won't have to deal with them whilst for others weembrace them gratefully acknowledging who we really are. Tibetan Singing Bowls at Gems N Jewels

Hand Beaten Tibetan Singing Bowls have a beautiful ring to them when the rubbing stick is rubbed around the lip-edge of the bowl. However did you know that they have an improved "healing" effect when they are gently struck in a "North-South-East-West" direction at the lip edge directly?

It is the vibration of these bowls that when struck gives the most beneficial effect to one's auric body. Even when one is not very close to the vibration, it tends to have a ripple effect which vibrates throughout the room when a bowl is struck.

Each bowl, reacts differently to each person, and vice versa. It is important to try each bowl out for the individual before purchasing in order to get the feel of the bowl. Although it is not essential that this be done, as a keen ear and a "sensitive" can most certainly hear the desired subtle qualities even over the phone.

Accordingto Tibetan oral tradition, the existence of singing bowls dates back to thetime of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni (560 - 480 B.C.). The tradition wasbrought from India to Tibet, alongwith the teachings of the Buddha, by the great tantric master Padmasambhava inthe 8th century A.D.

Singingbowls produce sounds, which invoke a deep state of relaxation which naturallyassists one in entering into meditation, the ultimate goal being enlightenment.They are a quintessential aid to meditation, and can be found on privateBuddhist altars, and in temples, monasteries and meditation halls throughoutthe world.

Ametallurgical analysis, done by the British Museum in London, reveals that theinstruments are made of a 12-metal alloy consisting of silver, nickel, copper,zinc, antimony, tin, lead, cobalt, bismuth, arsenic, cadmium and iron. Now alost art, it appears that this quality of bowl cannot be reproduced today.

Inaddition to their traditional usage for meditation, Tibetan singing bowls areused for deep relaxation, stress reduction, holistic healing, Reiki, chakrabalancing, and World music. Many people find that the rich blend of harmonicovertones which the bells produce have a direct affect upon their chakras.

Playingthe bowls usually causes an immediate centering effect. The tones set up a"frequency following response" that creates balancing left/rightbrain synchronization. Meditating on the subtle sounds of the Tibetan singingbowl tunes one in to the universal sound within and without.
